Mr. Nitin Gupta GCEO, STEER Engineering

 

Nitin brings to STEER in-depth know-how of line solutions and continuous processing equipment’s applicable to foods & beverages, oil & gas and other domains, having worked with companies viz Tetra Pak, GEA and Thermax.  Until recently, Nitin was Director APAC, Middle East & Africa with Tetra Pak Processing Solutions & Equipment based out of Singapore with primary responsible for Channel Management, Strategic Partnerships and Key Components Management. During his 15 years in Thermax and 5 years in GEA, Nitin was primarily engaged in turnkey project sales for variety of end segments.   Nitin holds a bachelor’s degree in Chemical Engineering from National Institute of Technology Karnataka graduating in the year 1996.

 

Prasanna Kumar, GM – Technical Services and Business Operations, STEER America

 

Prasanna has been with STEER for the last 17 years and is currently leading business operations in China. He has handled the testing and commissioning of over 100 extruders at customer plants in countries like the US, Japan, Germany, Thailand, Istanbul and China. Prasanna has been instrumental in setting up an entire plant that utilises twin-screw extruders and has built a great technical services team globally. He holds a Diploma in Rubber Technology from IIT, Delhi.

 

Sanjay Shah, CBO – INDIA, SAARC, SEA & MEA

 

Sanjay leads sales at STEER India besides fulfilling customer needs for India, and SAARC, SEA & MEA by managing Sales, Marketing and Application Development. His focus is largely on businesses aspects, which include Sales, Marketing and Business Development for expanded area of India, SAARC, SEA and MEA regions. Prior to joining STEER, Sanjay was with Reliance India Ltd, for over 20 years and he grew upto be Vice President. Amongst various activities he has handled Sales, Business Development, Project Planning and execution. He was part of team looking after acquisition & investment. He holds a BSc (Tech) in Polymer Technology from UDCT, Mumbai.

 

Akihiko Sato – President & CEO, STEERJapan Corporation

 

Sato San is a graduate in Polymer Chemistry from Gunma University, He began his career with Dow Chemical and was associated with them for over 27 years &   grew up to be a Business Development Director, where he was responsible for Business development, M&A, forming JV, setting up new business establishments, for businesses mainly in Chemicals, Plastics, Water treatments, Battery and Consumer Businesses.

 

He later joined Owens-Corning, where he was managing the Glass Fibre business as MD , North & South Asia & Japan, lead multiple geographies & was associated with them for 15 years & progressed to be a President General Manager, Japan.

 

When he is not working, his passion winds him as a drummer (Jazz) in a regular ensemble. He likes to travel and is an avid business reader.

 

Takeshi Nakatsuka
Director, Business Development Department, STEER Japan

 

Nakatsuka San leads STEER’s ADC in Japan.He is an expert in compounding Technology. Prior to STEER he was associated with SANYO-KAKO as General Manager. He holds BSc in Applied chemistry from Osaka Institute of Technology, Japan.

 

Chethan Sharma, AVP – Corporate Strategy

 

Chethan has been with STEER for the last 12years, He spent his first few years as Finance Manager, globally responsible for Accounting, Budgets, MIS and Taxation for STEER Group.

He understands the pulse of the Organization well, and has transitioned into a role in Corporate Strategy. He takes part in setting up new businesses, contract negotiations and other strategic initiatives.

He is a CA from the ICAI and was associated with Deloitte before he joined STEER.
