It is designed to withstand

The gearbox
is oil-cooled. The oil lubrication
system includes cooling of oil
through a heat exchanger, filtering
and re-circulating the oil.
Protection is built into the
system to prevent operation
under low oil levels, high oil
temperature and low flow levels.
The special design of the gearbox
includes allowances for high
axial thrusts called for by
the application, as well as
the capability of transmitting
the required power over the
speed range.
